Our New Lean-to

We've have been incredibly busy lately, which is why we haven't been posting!  We'll try to be more on time now!  We are in the process of making egg pamphlets that will have a nice amount of information on what makes our eggs different, currently.
We are also now selling eggs in 18 packs for $4.00.
The 50 new chickens have been great!  We have been getting around 5 (at the very least-the Lord has been blessing us alot) dozen eggs a day, so we have a ton (seriously) of eggs to sell.  It would be great if you could let us know of anyone that needs eggs!
Well, you may be wondering what the post name is all about..... we connected a lean-to to the older girls coop!

We finished it last Saturday and the girls are lovin' it!!
For all y'all building people, we dug 2 holes 2' deep, put posts in, and then stamped and leveled the earth around it. Then we attached the roof's side boards on, put boards perpendicular over the first ones, then overlapped the metal sheets side-by-side, and then screwed them in!

Dad helping Seth put the screws in.

Seth had to climb on the roof to put the screws in!

He likes his drill- watch out ;)!

We had 2 extra nesting houses, so we painted one (more like "threw" paint on it!),  let it dry, and put it under the lean-to!

The girls liked to watch us and eat!

We hope to move the 50 new girls to the pasture soon!
Also, my sister was looking up the benefits of pastured raised eggs and found out how you can tell if the egg is fresh or not.  If the the egg white is cloudy, it is fresh, and the white will be clearer the older the egg gets!  There will probably be more on that subject in our "coming soon" egg pamphlets.

Till next time, God bless!
